The Philippine Genome Center (PGC) is hosting the Genomics and Bioinformatics Conference 2021 on December 7-9, themed Overcoming Challenges, Building Opportunities—the 3-day conference will consist of talks from experts in health, agriculture, livestock, and fisheries as well as in biodiversity, ethnicity, and forensics.
Overcoming Challenges and Building Opportunities with Bioinformatics
The 2020 Bioinformatics Conference aims to bring together researchers, students, and professionals from the field of genomics and bioinformatics. Themed “#BioInfoPH: Overcoming Challenges, Building Opportunities”—the conference intends to surface the complexities of conducting bioinformatics and genomics research in the Philippines and therein address these challenges through the conference forum.
Bioinformatics Symposium: Building networks, creating a community
The Core Facility for Bioinformatics (CFB) will be hosting its first ever Bioinformatics symposium with the theme, “Building Networks, Creating a Community”. This will be held on March 20, 2019 at the PGC bldg. A. Ma. Regidor St. National Science Complex, UP Diliman, Quezon City, 1101.

PGC promotes genomics research and collaboration in Iloilo
Partnering for genomics research and collaborating for capacity building—the Philippine Genome Center invited researchers, faculty, and project leaders in the Visayas region with the goal of initiating collaboration amongst local principal investigators and promoting capacity building to budding genomics researchers. The symposium was held at the Iloilo Convention Center, Mandurriao, Iloilo City last October 27, 2017, with the help of the University of the Philippines Visayas and the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development and Conservation (SEAFDEC) Aquaculture Department (AQD).
