(1) System/I.T. Administrator (SG 15)
Job Description
The System/I.T. Administrator is responsible in the upkeep and maintenance of all ICT-equipment and peripherals of the Philippine Genome Center. S/he is in charge of ensuring optimal use of available ICT resources as well as in maintaining inventory and procurement of needed ICT tools and equipment units of PGC.

S/he is expected to:
• Provide technical support for IT issues encountered by PGC personnel
• Setup, maintain, and manage office and laboratory IT network and security
• Administer workstations, network printers, phones, routers, switches, and other IT-related equipment in PGC offices and core laboratories
• Work with the Building Administrator and security officers in maintaining the overall security of the PGC building
• Initiate and implement ICT policies within the PGC as well as ensure compliance with the University’s ICT policies.
• Coordinate with pertinent agencies within and outside the University on general IT matters.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year experience in IT field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• College graduate with an IT or Computer-related degree
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional teams and customer service savvy

(2) Research Aide (A) SG 10
Job Description

The Research Aide is responsible in ensuring completion of the entire lifecycle of client satisfaction goals are met from sample receiving up to collection of payment from clients. The Research Aide’s job also includes ensuring that the laboratory and technical services rendered support the PGC’s overall strategy and goals.

S/he is expected to:
• Adhere to the set standard operating procedures in receiving samples from clients;
• Monitor and ensure documentation of all accepted job orders of the laboratory;
• Expedite all procurement activities and other administrative tasks in the laboratory;
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents to ensure unnecessary interruption in rendering technical services;
• Ensure timely and accurate entries in DSCF client database;
• Handle client inquiries and employ best practices in handling customer complaints;
• Employ best practices in maintaining cleanliness of laboratory premises;
• Perform other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
• College graduate of Office Management or Business Administration
• Minimum 2-year experience as Customer Service Specialist
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Pleasing Personality and excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and customer service savvy

(3) Research Aide (B) SG 10
Job Description

The Research Aide is responsible for performing laboratory services including handling tissue, blood and bacterial samples, and in ensuring that the laboratory and technical services support the PGC’s overall strategy and goals.

S/he is expected to:
• Adhere to the set standard operating procedures in rendering technical services;
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents to ensure unnecessary interruption in rendering technical services;
• Ensure timely and accurate entries in DSCF client database;
• Employ best practices in maintaining cleanliness of laboratory premises;
• Perform other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year experience as a Laboratory Technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional teams and customer service savvy
