The ongoing Bioinformatics Training and Internship Program funded by a grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) is a 6-week program that provides interns with an opportunity to hone and develop their bioinformatics knowledge and practical skills in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
The program extends to four (4) batches which will be held throughout 2019-2020. The training of the first batch will run from June 17-July 26 , 2019. While the application period for the upcoming batches are as follows:
BTIP Batch 02 (September 2 – October 11, 2019)
Start of application period: July 1, 2019
Deadline: Aug 2, 2019 Notification of accepted applicants: August 12, 2019
BTIP Batch 03 (November 4 – December 13, 2019)
Start of application period: September 9, 2019
Deadline: October 4, 2019 Notification of accepted applicants: October 14, 2019
BTIP Batch 04 (January 20 – February 28, 2020)
Start of application period: November 11, 2019
Deadline: December 13, 2019 Notification of accepted applicants: December 23, 2019
The internship program will be held at the 2nd floor, Left Wing of the Philippine Genome Center Building, A. Ma. Regidor St., University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
Interested individuals from public and private colleges, universities, and research institutions in the Philippines are invited to apply. A stipend will be provided to help cover travel and living expenses. Individuals who have previously submitted an application for the ongoing BTIP batch 01 and were not selected must submit a new application to follow the program’s screening protocol.
