CFB conducts 16S rDNA Metabarcoding Data Analysis Training at UPM
The Core Facility for Bioinformatics conducted a training on 16S rDNA Metabarcoding Data Analysis at the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila on September 22-24, 2025. The three-day training provides the participants with a foundational understanding of bioinformatics and DNA metabarcoding, alongside practical experience in data analysis.
The program involves an introduction to bioinformatics and the Linux command line environment. Followed by the fundamentals of metabarcoding, its principles and applications. The hands-on sessions focused on DNA metabarcoding data analysis, whereas participants were guided through a structured workshop and a practical exercise.
