Dr. Michael Vincent Zaragoza is a Filipino American physician-scientist and a 20-year faculty member at the University of California Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine. His research and clinical work center on cardiogenomics, particularly the genetic basis of cardiomyopathy and arrhythmia.

The Institute of Biology and the Philippine Genome Center is co-hosting a seminar titled “Cardiac Disease Modeling Using Patient-derived Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells and single-cell RNA-sequencing” featuring Dr. Michael Zumaraga, Associate Professor from the UCI Cardiogenomics Research Program.
