Protein Analysis in the Spotlight:
A WORKSHOP ON MWS AND CD TECHNIQUES AND APPLICATIONS
The Protein, Proteomics, and Metabolomics Facility (PPMF) will be holding a workshop from July 11 to 15, 2022 entitled “Protein Analysis in the Spotlight: A Workshop on MWS and CD Techniques and Applications”. This workshop will highlight the application of Spectrometry techniques for Protein Analysis.
Date: July 11-15, 2022
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 PM (Duration: 3 hours)
Interested registrants may choose between two (2) topics that will cover three modules each.
One topic: Php 1,000 (July 12-13)
Two topics: Php 2,000 (July 13-14)
Participants regardless of how many topics they have selected will have to attend day 1 (July 11) and day 5 (July 15) for the orientation and closing of the workshop.
Eligibility:
Open to senior high school and college students enrolled in any academic institution, college, or university in the Philippines. For verification, registrants may be asked to present a school ID or proof of enrolment.
Topic 1: Multiwavelength Spectrophotometry
- Basic Principles of Spectrophotometry
- Absorbance, Fluorescence, Luminescence Analysis
- Applications: Sample Preparation to Analysis
Topic 2: Circular Dichroism Spectropolarimetry
- Basic Principles of Spectropolarimetry
- Circular Dichroism Analysis
- Applications: Sample Preparation to Analysis
Upon completing the registration, selected participants can expect to receive an email confirmation with information about the payment process and further instructions by June 17, 2022.
