The Protein, Proteomics, and Metabolomics Facility (PPMF) and DKSH conducted a protein training course on August 27, 2024, for University of the Philippines researchers held at the Genome Center. Dr. Suruchi Arora, Product Manager for SEA & ANZ at Bio-techne with the PPMF research staff, led the training course that provided participants with a thorough understanding of general topics such as protein detection, quantification, and characterization. Insight into the general pipeline for protein handling and fundamental theories on western blot was also covered by the lectures.

Dr. Suruchi Arora is based in Singapore and has been with Bio-Techne for 7 years. She manages product applications and marketing for Bio-Techne brands like Protein Simple, R&D systems, Novus and Tocris. Dr. Arora obtained her PhD in Immunology and Molecular Virology from National University of Singapore and has a post-doctoral experience of 2 years. She has published in several peer reviewed journals and takes great interest in learning new technologies and finding different applications they can be used for.
