New Science, New Cultures—this was the central theme during the ASEAN Organoid Developer Conference (ODC25) held at Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand, following the well-received Seoul ODC25 in Korea. At the scientific gathering, Philippine Genome Center (PGC) Executive Director Dr. Windell Rivera participated as a resource speaker who represented and introduced PGC to ASEAN participants involved in organoid sciences.

The conference held on December 12-13, 2025, is separated into four main programs headlined by a Bio Science segment focusing on Organoids and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), followed by sessions showcasing Arts & Culture, the Animal Free Initiative, and a separate networking program for the ASEAN participants.

In this regional edition of the ODC, the important role of ASEAN leadership is highlighted through talks on regenerative science, ethical innovation, and sustainable biotechnology. Dr. Rivera is among the esteemed experts and presenters in attendance among other scientists, industry leaders, policy makers, and creative professionals who converged to share discussions on the applications of living technologies in the future of health, culture, and society.

The representation of PGC at the ASEAN ODC25 is a significant emphasis and indication of genomics sequencing and bioinformatics’ fundamental part in the global development and application of organoids sciences and technologies.

About the Organoid Developer Conference (ODC)

The Organoid Developer Conference (ODC), launched in 2018 by OrganoidSciences, Inc. in Korea, is a global platform uniting over 1,000 institutions to explore the intersection of science, art, and innovation. ODC brings together scientists, artists, philosophers, and innovators to share groundbreaking organoid research, spark creative inspiration, and shape the future of bioscience.
