Junior Research Associate (SG 13)
Job Description
The Junior Research Associate (JRA) is mainly responsible for assisting in conducting end-to-end client services and general maintenance of laboratory equipment. They may also be called upon to assist in the writing of research proposals, manuscripts, patents, and manuals of the facility.
S/he is expected to:
- Assist in the daily maintenance and calibration of the LC-MS equipment
- Participate in client consultations for OMICS services
- Assist in conducting proteomics and metabolomics analyses
- Assist in writing service reports for omics services
- Provide support to projects in their proteomics and metabolomics analysis
- Receiving client samples and encoding into LIMS
- Monitors inventory and prepares documents for procurement.
- Perform other work-related duties or functions as assigned by the laboratory manager, OMICS head analyst, and/or Facility Director.
Qualifications
Education: Preferably a bachelor’s degree graduate of Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or any allied health course. MS units in the specified fields are preferred.
Training: Training in LCMS, & LIMS is an advantage.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience employment in a related field.

Other Qualifications
- Should be fully vaccinated prior to deployment in the field
- Ability to work confidently and successfully under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of various software applications, such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and other relevant computer programs and software
- Exceptional writing, organization, analysis, and research abilities, effective communication skills
- Licensed Chemists or Chemical Technicians are preferred but not required
All positions are a non-permanent status April 16, 2025 to June 30, 2025 (2.5 months) *renewable
